NoScroll leverages Android’s accessibility features to intelligently detect when you’re doomscrolling short videos. Based on your settings, it will instantly force-close the Shorts or Reels video player, so you can continue using your favorite apps without distractions — staying focused and in control.
NoScroll doesn’t remove or hide short videos from your feed. Instead, it blocks the video from playing once you click on it or disables scrolling, depending on your chosen settings. If you’re on the Curious or Paused plan, these allow temporary access to watch short videos before blocking resumes.
Some device manufacturers—especially those with MIUI OS (like Xiaomi and Poco)—limit background app activity to save battery or for other reasons. This can sometimes interfere with NoScroll’s functionality. If you experience issues, please follow the steps in this video to Restart the NoScroll Accessibility Service and ensure smooth operation.
NoScroll may stop working temporarily if your favorite app changes its layout or interface in an update, affecting how we detect and block short videos. As a workaround, you can try downgrading the app to an earlier version—just avoid very old versions that might have security risks or compatibility issues. We’re actively updating our detection algorithms and will notify you through in-app messages or other channels when support is restored. Please note, since we don’t have access to the app’s source code, keeping up with every change can be challenging, so continuous support for all apps cannot be guaranteed.
